AI Policy

It seems like everyone and their marketer is raving about AI these days, doesn’t it? And some companies have gone all in on AI, to the point of excluding human writers in their marketing pieces.

However, it turns out that we humans don’t love AI-generated copy as much as the hype might suggest. In fact, human-generated content has been known to outrank AI-generated content in recent years (in over 94% of comparisons in one reported test).

For this reason, I do not use AI to do my writing (or thinking) for me.

I write copy that is original, effective, and tailored to my clients’ needs and goals … and that maintains the genuine human touch. I personally handle the heavy lifting when it comes to the actual writing, brainstorming, researching, fact-checking, and most of all, editing.

In short, I’m the writer.

That being said, I’m not anti-AI. I simply believe that AI tools have their appropriate use cases.

I will sometimes use AI in strategic, specific ways in my workflow. For example, I might use an AI tool to:

  • Supplement (not replace) my own brainstorming and research
  • Generate a rough outline
  • Vet an idea
  • Transcribe an interview
  • Review a draft for improvements

If you provide me with information that is confidential, you can rest assured that I will never enter that information into an AI tool.

So in a nutshell: I do use AI in limited, specific ways, but my work for you will always be original and leverage my experience and skills writing copy that resonates with human audiences.
